Hotel and Restaurant Klim Bjerg is a family-run hotel located in the lovely landscape of Han Herred less than a five minute drive from the North Sea and its sandy beaches. Close to Klim Bjerg one finds Thorup Strand - one of the few places in Denmark with flourishing fishery. Here it is local custom that the boats are hauled up on the beach.
The hill Klim Bjerg is formed of chalk and formerly, there was a lively limestone mining industry. An old lime kiln has been reconstructed close to the hotel. The vegetation on Klim Bjerg is marked by the nutritious subsoil. In a small area listed for preservation, rare plants are to be found. Every year, botanists and flower enthusiasts from many parts of Denmark visit the area.
Hotel and Restaurant Klim Bjerg is also a good base for outings to the magnificent landscape. To the east one finds the valley Fosdalen with its unique flora and to the west the lookout point Bulbjerg from where the amazing Norht Sea can be observed. Another fascinating excursion spot is Vejlerne. Here a large number of bird species can be watched from carefully placed observation posts.
A few kilometres from Klim Bjerg is the busy shopping town Fjerritslev where visitors to the region will always feel welcome.
